Psychotherapy or 'talk therapy' involves a process of exploring a person's emotions, life circumstances, beliefs, and values. By increasing a person's understanding of themselves, their close relationships, and other important factors, this form of therapeutic care moves towards improving a person's overall quality of life.
I work with adults of all ages (18 and older).
Sessions are generally 53 minutes.
Individual sessions are carried out via doxy.me, a free, secure, HIPAA-compliant tele-health platform. You can access it from any smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a webcam—it works through your browser. I will send you a link before the first session. It's fairly user-friendly to use.
It is helpful to meet weekly, especially in the beginning stages of therapy as the therapist is getting to know the client and the client is getting used to therapy and working with their therapy. If weekly sessions aren't possible, meeting every other week is also an option.
